Sveiki! (Hello!)
A lot has happened this past week, I just wanted to update you all on it, because this will probably be my last one. This week, I have mainly been taking care of the kids and the house as Steve and Natālija have had to be away from the house. Steve has had to do some things for the camp, and Natālija had to do a first aid type of course in Rīga on Tuesday through Thursday, so it was mainly just me and the kids at home. They have been a little challenging, but we’ve had fun. 
However, this morning I received news that my aunt Sandra (my dad’s sister), who was struggling with breast cancer, passed away yesterday evening. She fell asleep Thursday afternoon, and around 6:30 PM, they realized she wasn’t breathing. They also said that she had a really peaceful look on her face, one that hadn’t been there in awhile. While it is a blessing to know that she is no longer suffering and in no more pain, I have never lost anyone close to me, and this is a very hard thing for me to deal with. She was like a second mom to me. I wasn’t prepared for this at all; I’m glad that she isn’t fighting anymore, but I will still miss her greatly. Due to this tragic event, I will be going home tomorrow and won’t be returning to Latvia as far as I know…not unless God opens another door for me to go. I need to be with and mourn with my family during this time. Pray for us as we go through this together and also for me as I travel back home. I would also appreciate prayer for guidance as to whether I am to return and do something else in Latvia in the future. Thanks for all your prayers and support!!
